Margaret H. White-Small has spent her career in appellate law. After spending several years as a staff attorney at an appellate court in Illinois, she came to Florida, where she spent 22 years as a senior and career staff attorney at Florida's Second District Court of Appeal. After leaving the Second District Court of Appeal, she opened Margaret H. White-Small, Attorney at Law, a small, boutique law firm that specializes in appeals and litigation support throughout Central and Southwest Florida, from Sarasota/Bradenton to Fort Myers.
Ms. White-Small currently co-chairs the Appellate Section of the Sarasota County Bar Association. She also founded and chaired the Appellate Section of the Lee County Bar Association, has written numerous articles for Res Gestae, the Lee County Bar Association's publication, and has spoken on various appellate topics to numerous local and state bar association groups.
